Terms and Conditions

Please take the time to read this document very carefully. Please do not try and use the booking system until you have read and understand the contents of the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions is information for Bar Bands musicians only and should not be shared with any third parties. If you have any questions or are not sure about any of the following please email

What Bar Bands expects from you:

  • All future bookings with venues that Bar Bands introduced you to must be made back through Bar Bands. If a venue that you were introduced to through Bar Bands calls, emails or DMs you and offers you a booking directly, please refer the booking enquiry back to Bar Bands. This includes any bookings-mid week, open mic, daytime or any other type.
  • Taking direct bookings from venues past and present that Bar Bands introduced you to will result in membership removal and cancellation of any gigs you have through Bar Bands. Always refer the bar or venue back to Bar Bands.
  • Professionalism, be on time. Please do not be late for any of your bookings. Get to the venue in plenty of time to set up etc. Do not take longer breaks than necessary.
  • If for any reason you are running late please call the venue to let them know.
  • If for any reason you turn up at a bar without an essential part of your equipment. Like a guitar, mic, speaker cables or anything instrumental in your ability to perform. It is not acceptable to just go home. Please do everything in your power to resolve the situation. Reach out to people on social media for example and try and save the night. You may need to offer the bar a DJ set if you can connect your phone or laptop to Spotify. Leaving a bar on a weekend with no music must be avoided.
  • Make sure that you look up each venue location before you book, and plan your journey ahead of your gig date.
  • Please try and keep your sets as upbeat as possible. Remember that bars on a weekend night want lively upbeat popular cover songs. They don’t want sets of slow ballads.
  • Cancellations.

If you are unable to honour a Bar Bands booking (due to illness etc). You must do your best to get the gig covered. Please do not just cancel without attempting to arrange cover first. If another musician you contact is available to cover your gig, they must be approved through Bar Bands first. Please send a video or any relevant links of them to 07557040899. Any musician representing Bar Bands must be of a high standard. If such an event occurs you must contact Bar Bands immediately so that we can do everything we can to get the gig covered.

Bar Bands booking system:

The booking system allows a select number of Bar Bands musicians to book their own gigs.

Please click the link to learn how to register and use the booking system – any questions get in touch.

Please note that you may not have access to the booking system and will be booked manually for a period of time when you are new to Bar Bands.

All bookings are automated and once you are approved for a gig, you and the bar will receive an email to confirm the booking. Please always check your spam folder and if any booking emails go in there, add the Bar Bands email address to your contacts and the emails should go directly to your inbox from then on.

Please only book yourself once per month for each bar. Requests for multiple dates in the one bar will be rejected.

You will receive a text message reminder every Monday in the run-up to those weekends gigs you have with Bar Bands. If you do not receive a text reminder on the week (Monday morning) of your gig you must contact me immediately on 07557040899.

If you have not been active on the system for a period of 2 months or more, your membership may be removed. If this occurs you can always re-apply.

Your membership can be removed at any time. Bar Bands reserves the right to review and remove users accordingly.

Rejected Bookings – Your booking request may be rejected for any of the following reasons:

  • You may have played that particular venue too close to your new request date. (Make sure you only apply for the same bar once per month on average).
  • You may have requested to cancel the booking.
  • The bar may have requested to cancel the booking. If this occurs you will be notified and given an extra date.
  • There is only a small amount of dates available for a particular venue and you have requested too many. We like to be fair and give all musicians a chance to book.
  • Your style may not be suited to that particular bar and they may have given Bar Bands a list of specific musicians they wish to book. If you are not on that list or if Bar Bands or the bar owner feels you are not suited, your booking request will be rejected.
